  1. Breast cancer is 100 more times common in women than in men. (Please know that men can get breast cancer, too). Breast cancer does not discriminate with GENDER.

 

  1. Women with less fatty tissue and more glandular and fibrous breast tissue may be at higher risk for developing breast cancer. This is called BREAST DENSITY.

 

  1. Fat tissue may contribute to increases in estrogen levels, and high levels of estrogen may increase the risk of breast cancer. (OBESITY).
