Julie Aigner Clark knows a thing or two about how to communicate with kids. As the founder of Baby Einstein and the mother of two, much of her life has been built around developmental products for babies and kids.
When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she was inspired to use her talent to once again help children. In You Are the Best Medicine, Clark created a tender story that “guides children through a mother’s cancer diagnosis by incorporating common, warm memories of a mother/child bond with the events associated with a cancer diagnosis.”
The book shows children that a diagnosis-while frightening- is another event in life, which can present an opportunity to nurture each other and create new, important memories.
A portion of the proceeds for the book goes to the Breast Cancer Research organization.
