The inspiration for the Randi Rentz Reveal’s Blog is to document my emotional, mental, physical, (sometimes) spiritual and oftentimes amusing journey through, with, over, around and after breast cancer experiences.
As you know, breast cancer is not something to joke about. EVER. However, my journey in “the pink bubble” was often something to laugh about. I decided to write about my breast cancer experience with panache and a sense of wit.
It is important to me that you hear about this journey in my own words.
Throughout this blog, I am open and honest and try to incorporate my personal and professional experiences as a fashionista, with a penchant for diamonds, who has a graduate degree in Special Education. In addition, I run an Aspergers (Autism) Support program in an elementary school.
Blogging is a magnificent way to participate in conversation with others. But what really keeps me motivated and what warms my heart is when a newly diagnosed woman tells me my blog has helped her and has learned to create her own “diamond moment.”
Blogging for others has made me feel bold. I would never say I’m happy I got breast cancer, but I’m happy I am able to share my thoughts with many readers. It has opened up a whole new world for me as well as to encourage other survivors to be their own advocate.
We as a society have been taught that breast cancer is a disease that affects older women. This couldn’t be further from the truth. I was diagnosed at the age of 42 and thought that was rather young. Little did I know that women younger than me are diagnosed and treated for breast cancer at astounding rates and growing. The key to surviving is EARLY DETECTION. Protect yourself from yourself! Please schedule your mammogram with your yearly check-up. And Ladies, don’t be afraid to get a second or third opinion…until you totally feel sure and comfortable with the information you are receiving from your doctor visits. I got five!
Many people have asked how it all began. So, I’ll tell you the story….from many chapter excerpts from my manuscript, Why Buy a Wig…When You Can Buy Diamonds! In addition, I’ve included many remarkable recipes, medical updates, resources, retail tips, favorite blogs and a whole lot more!
Peace, love and diamonds!
Randi

Wow, wonderful weblog structure! How lengthy have you ever been running a blog for? you made running a blog look easy. The full look of your site is excellent, as neatly as the content material!
Thanks for the compliment. It’s been a lenghty process, but well worth it. I have an amazing web designer (Gregg Robinson) who makes everything look easy. He is absolutely fantastic and so creative. I couldn’t have completed this blog without his assistance. I’m glad you are enjoying the matieral and the full look of the site.
I am so glad you are liking the site. There’s more interesting content to come. Please pass it along to your friends, co-workers, family members or anybody who is interested in breast cancer.

It is wonderful to watch you and this project evolve into a full featured, multi-media presentation. From it you have grown so much as a person and creatively as well. Out of your dilemma you have come to inspire and give us hope.
Thank you so much for the compliment! I do hope to continue to inspire and give people hope with this site. Thanks for your support!

Sounds like a great book. My wife was diagnosed at the age of 36 while pregnant with our son. She could have used a book like this.
I hope your wife is doing well. It was very cathartic for me and very eye opening!
